Bridging the gap between two cultures
My tours aren’t formated in any way, I won’t be lecturing that would be too soporific ! Injecting cultural anecdotes is key and if I want you retain something from your parisian touring experience it must be fun above all.
My tour guiding experience goes far beyond a historical and geographical knowledge of the city. The essential component is French culture, French Art de vivre (rests scheduled on the way), explaining a Parisian mindset and generally anything else related to living here as a resident – and I would also like you to sample that vibe too – that’s one of my objectives and if you’re about to travel. And last but not least “Welcome to Paris” !
Pointing you in the right direction during and also after your tour
I normally share plenty of tips and advice with you at the end of each tour. Schedules (ie. markets, museums), rush hour times, best entrances to avoid the queues, monuments undergoing renovation, how Parisian cab drivers work etc… My job naturally is to give you the heads up to avoid the pitfalls and focus on the opportunities.
Enjoying very much what Paris has to offer, part of my job is knowing what events are on. That’s some of the added value I can bring to you. I try to attend most of the current exhibitions, the latest nightspots, hotels and restaurants to some extent too! Someone has to try them out don’t they ? ; -) So, you are in good hands, I know where to take you at any given time day or night ! And if you’re looking for a sunny terrace that’s also a good spot for people watching or where to get roasted chickens at 6am, just ask me!
Tours normally last 4 hours (half day), 8 hours (full day) but can also be trimmed according to your needs.
It's possible to blend classic sights with some off the beaten track landmarks. Ask me and I will make suggestions to you. Many combinations work! We'll design a tour around your tastes and expectations.
